This man gave his life to christ today. He came to uncle charles’ house, but he’s never met him before. The man’s name is baba amidu and he comes from a Muslim family. He told us that he had a dream- and in the dream, a voice told him that there’s a name on his cell phone that he needs to call so that he can receive prayer. That name was brother charles. Brother charles got a phone call from this stranger and agreed to meet him.
We met him today in uncle charles’ home, and when I got there, uncle charles was already sharing the word of God with baba amidu. Then, as he raised his hands and bowed his head, he accepted jesus christ by reciting the sinner’s prayer. And then, deliverance occurred.
Uncle charles started to pray for all the evil spirits and previously consumed concoctions to leave his body in the name of jesus. He held his head and prayed, he rubbed his stomach and prayed- his prayers intensified as baba amidu began reacting physically to uncle charles’ commands to drive these spirits out. baba amidu was standing when we started to pray for him and he ended up lying on the floor when we finished.
During the prayer, he started to lean his head back and his body followed, while his eyes were closed. But he became too weak to stand, so we had to hold his body up until we gently laid his body on the floor. He kept turning; he would lay on his back then with his face to the floor. At one point, he stretched his body out and his back arched and lifted from the ground, while uncle charles and uncle david held down his shoulders and his feet. When the prayer came to a close, his body soon relaxed and he laid on the floor, still with his eyes closed and left spent.
We held him up and had him sit on a chair. He opened his eyes and from what it looked like, came back to consciousness. He started to massage his left leg and jerk it like he was kicking a ball. He told us that the powers that he was given, was given to his leg. He would kick a tree and the tree would die within days. He said his leg felt much lighter and he wanted to make sure the heaviness left him.
You’re probably wondering what I was doing while all this was happening. I was praying, for most of the time. It’s the first time I’ve witnessed the power of Jesus’ name in physical deliverance. I prayed for this man not really knowing if I had the faith to. I realized that my faith is as small as a mustard seed or even smaller. I prayed that He would help this man even if I had nothing to do with it. And, I didn’t. This man was delivered from his old ways and he was physically transformed right in front of me because God is God. That doesn’t change. It was time for baba amidu to be freed from his worldy bondages, and reconcile with the Lord. God is glorified today.
Please pray for our new brother. He is going to face trials with his muslim father and it may shake his newfound faith. Pray that God will protect him and ensure his safety in Jesus’ name.
