it’s like my second home- everything is fondly familiar and it still manages to hold such a dear place in my heart after each rendezvous. some highlights on this trip was seeing arthur miller’s play called, “a view from the bridge,” going to barnes and nobles for a talk with malcolm gladwell, hearing scott harrison from charity:water speak and hearing tim keller speak at redeemer. did i mention that the weather was impeccable? seriously perfect.

i also spent my lesiure with great company- seeing friends makes me feel like i’m home and their hospitality was a true comfort. so, im not quite traveling alone yet.

revelations: 1. i wasnt too sure where in the bible i wanted to read right now, but i feel compelled to read isaiah after hearing tim keller speak on it and hearing my girlfriends reference it in out conversations. 2. water has been on my mind. i saw a national geographic special issue on water, which i had a gut reaction to pick up and read. then, i went to church and heard that scott harrison was coming to give his testimony- i’m making no conclusions, it’s just on my mind. by the way, happy world water day!

i’m at the airport now, about to leave for london. i haven’t had more than a spare moment to think deeply about what’s to come. i can’t see it yet. i can’t even see london. i just know that God has been using this time to shower me with love so that when i get to ghana, i will be giving from the overflow i have received. i am truly a blessed individual.

prayer requests- protection from travels. here comes flight number 3! i want to also prepare my heart for whatever is to come.

verse that is keeping life in perspective: Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. james 1:27
